Black Knight Peptides didn’t start as a business idea. It started around three years ago after I’d been buying pre-made pens and getting fed up with paying a lot of money for products that seemed inconsistent and gave me no real confidence about what I was actually getting.
That pushed me into looking into sourcing for myself. I started comparing different suppliers, looking properly at COAs and testing rather than simply choosing whoever offered the cheapest price. A friend and I narrowed things down, ordered from several different suppliers and compared the results with independent third-party testing.
Eventually we found a supplier whose testing, quality and reliability consistently matched what we were looking for. I initially added my orders onto my friend’s, and over time I became confident enough in the supply chain to start ordering independently.
Black Knight grew from that experience. The idea was never to be the cheapest at any cost. It was to cut out unnecessary mark-ups and offer fair pricing while still putting testing, transparency and reliability first.
I know that when people see a price considerably lower than they may have paid elsewhere, the first thought can be, “What’s the catch?” That’s exactly why I wanted to explain where Black Knight came from. Lower prices don’t have to mean cutting corners — sometimes they simply mean fewer people taking a margin along the way.
Why We Test
For me, a supplier COA is only the starting point. If I’m going to put the Black Knight name on something, I want more reassurance than simply taking a supplier’s paperwork at face value.
That’s why independent third-party testing has been part of the process from the beginning. It gives an extra layer of confidence that what is being supplied matches what has been claimed, and it helps us keep an eye on consistency from batch to batch.
Testing isn’t about pretending anything is perfect. It’s about doing the sensible checks, being transparent about what we have, and making decisions based on evidence rather than just taking someone’s word for it.
What Black Knight Stands For
Black Knight is built around a few simple principles: fair pricing, transparency, consistency and no unnecessary bullshit. I’d rather explain clearly what we do, how we source and why we test than hide behind flashy claims or inflated prices.
The aim is to build something people can trust because the information is there for them to see. No pretending we know more than we do, no cutting corners to chase the lowest possible price, and no ridiculous mark-ups just because the market will tolerate them. Just a straightforward approach that I’d want to see myself.
